The Serenity Spa Training School provide a high standard of professional training and education for massage, beauty and holistic therapy courses. You will receive your training from a Guild Accredited Therapy Lecturer, who has personal experience in a salon environment.
Serenity Spa Training School is situated in Dundee city centre close to bus routes and a ten minute walk from the train station. There is a car park a few minutes’ walk away. As a small Training School, offering massage, beauty and holistic therapy training, we offer classes in groups of up to 6, which ensures lots of individual attention.
If you are looking for a course, we offer the popular Body Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Indian Head Massage, Facials, Manicure, Pedicure, Anatomy & Physiology, Professional Standards, Starting and Marketing Your Business, and many more.
No previous experience is required to attend most of the one day courses, and there is no written exam. We will be providing the practical element of your course. The theory will be completed online, before you come to us. The courses are insurable and will allow you to work professionally with the public, and charge for your services, either working mobile, at home, or in a salon or clinic.
One day is usually suitable for beginners, due to the small classes, however, if you do need to come back for more help, then this is free.
When you pass both your theory and practical elements, you will be awarded a recognised qualification, which will allow you to obtain insurance to practice the skills you have learned.
Courses can be provided on weekdays & weekends within The Serenity Spa salon.
Course dates are flexible, to suit your budget, and suitable for complete beginners, as well as experience therapists who are looking to update or modernise their qualifications and skills. Courses can be provided on weekdays & weekends within The Serenity Spa salon.
All GTi courses must be paid in full before the course commences. You can book and pay online, via PayPal, or we can send you an invoice to pay by direct bank transfer. If you would prefer to talk to us in person, call us, or send an e-mail.
All courses accredited by the GTi, and Guild Accredited Courses, are accepted for insurance purposes by The Guild, and other main insurance providers
Pre-Requisites & Enrolment Process
All GTi courses with a practical element require the Professional Standards for Therapists course to be completed first. This is only to be completed once and is free with any of our practical courses.
Once the course has been paid, you will be enrolled by the Training School and you will receive a link to take you to The Guild website www.beautyguild.com, where you will be able to register if you have not previously done any Guild Practical Training Course. If you have done GTi training previously, you will be required to log on to activate the course to your account.
The course modules will be accessible on completion of the Professional Standards for Therapists Course. Once the theory element of the course has been completed, you need to click through to the Training Centre to obtain the practical code before the training day, to complete the course.
GTi Student Membership
GTi Student Membership allows you access to the GTi training courses you are enrolled for up to 3 months and includes several other online Guild services. It does not include insurance. Once you have completed your GTi training course you can save £25 when you upgrade to Full Guild membership with insurance.
note – a joining fee of £10 is applicable to all membership categories.
Student membership is specifically designed for students who are currently studying and wish to obtain insurance to carry out case studies on non-paying clients (family and friends) for the following treatments only: aromatherapy, crystal therapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, body massage, camouflage make-up , make-up, manual facials, manicure and pedicure (excluding the cutting of cuticles), nail extensions (acrylics, gel, silk and fibreglass), baby massage, threading, waxing on the body and face.
All GTi courses are fully accredited by The Guild of Professional Beauty, Nail & Holistic Therapists which is a recognised body in the beauty and therapy industry.
